NCRC celebrating 4th of July weekend with Horse Show

DEXTER – "Save Gas… Ride Local" - The North Country Riding Club is celebrating Independence weekend by hosting an Equitation Horse Sunday, July 1st with members and participants coming from all over Central & Northern Maine. Rider ages range from youngsters to the young at heart.

NCRC's June show with Judge Sherri Thornton was a huge success with over 40 horse & riders and a parking lot full of spectators. See the winners of all classes, pictures and Day End awards at www.DexterRidingClub.com. The upcoming July Equitation Show has 45 Classes focusing on everything from halter classes, English & Western classes to Lead Line for the youngest rider, draft / draft-cross halter class, driving classes and jumping. The NCRC shows are at Bud Elms Field in the North Country Riding Club Arena in Dexter.

Show registration is at 7:30 to 8:15 am; Show time is 8:30 AM and will be held rain or shine (unless extreme conditions). All horses must have current rabies and coggins papers upon entering the Show Grounds for the safety of all horses.

Also, check out the website for directions/map to the arena and/or monthly meetings Spectator admission & parking is free and you can grab a bite to eat from Dexter's Snack Shack cooking up burgers, fries, hotdogs, cold drinks and more for the entire day.

So grab the lawn chairs & load the family in the car and enjoy a family event during the 4th of July weekend. The public is also invited to NCRC monthly meeting the last Wednesday of the month, held at the Wassookeag Snowmobile Club on the Number 10 Road in Dexter. You don't have to own a horse to come and enjoy horse talk or volunteer during horse shows and events. The next monthly meeting will be held Wednesday, June 27th; 6:30 pm for Snack'n Chat and 7 pm meeting time.
