Submitted by NCRC President Amie Smith - DEXTER - We are pleased to report our August 4th All Trophy show was a huge success. We had over 65 entries through out the day. We are excited at the number of entries locally as well as distance exhibitors. Anyone who may have pictures of riders and horses are encouraged to contact an officer of NCRC so that we can add to our photo album and web page. NCRC members are planning a Trail Ride, Saturday, Sept. 21, 2002. We will be meeting at the Wassookeag Snowmobile Club House on #10 road in Dexter at 9:30a.m. with plans to ride at 10:00a.m. The ride will be approx. 5 miles, with a light lunch planned when all have returned. We would like to invite anyone with a horse to join in the fun!! This will be a ride at your own risk event!! Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide horses for the public. RSVP by phone is required. Lynn McKusick 924-5074. At the August 28th meeting, members and officers voted a workday for the registration booth clean up. We have purchased the materials to improve the building and will be meeting at Misty Blue Acres, Dexter on Oct. 13th at 10:00a.m. to complete the repairs/maintenance. Members in attendance, voted to provide the public with another Haunted House this year on Oct. 19th beginning at 6:30p.m. We all enjoyed last year and hope to continue to make this a yearly event/fund raiser for NCRC. All those interested in helping and enjoying some Halloween fun are encouraged to contact Lynn McKusick at 924-5074. We will have a meeting specifically to design and organize the ride on October 2, 2002 at 6:00p.m. at the McKusick residence, Cambridge Rd., Dexter. We need several "SPOOKS" to help out!!! We will also be in need of several props and pumpkins. If you would like to be involved in any way, we would appreciate your attendance at this meeting. NCRC members are busy planning for our year-end awards banquet. We will be honoring all those that had a hand in making NCRC a successful show season, and top riders in each age division. The dinner and awards banquet will be on Nov. 13th at the TJ's Restaurant in Dexter. |
