B - is for barn where she spends a lot of her time. Beg because she has to do it often. Babies because she has two legged and four legged ones. And blue because it’s one of her favorite colors.

C - is for club which she runs so well. Calls because she has so many of them to make. Creativity which is one of her fine qualities and crazy because I am sure she thought she was when NCRC began.

D- is for determined. She is the most determined person we know. Dedicated because she’s that too! Dexter because it’s the place she calls home and dang it, we are so lucky to have her.

E - is for emails because, man, can that girl send them. Excited because she gets that way about NCRC . Excellence because where would the club be without that. And energy because you have to have that to keep up with her!

F - is for funny for all the jokes that she shares. Fence because it was her first major project which gave us a ring. Football food because she was adamant they be there so her three year old daughter could get a hotdogs with lots of ketchup and forever because she is forever grateful to them!

G - is for giving. We all know she is. Go-getter because that’s her personality. Gracious because she is to anyone that helps and Gold because she deserves a medal and it should be gold!

H - is for haunted because the hay ride she organizes is so much fun. Hectic because at times it is. Humor because she has and needs a huge sense of it and horse because that’s what got her in this mess!

I - is for impossible. She seems to do it all. Incredible because she does do it all. Interested because she always wants to know what you think and irritated because sometimes, I think, she is sorry that she asked!

J - is for Judge. She is one, knows one, and wishes she could have killed one! Joking because she was just kidding. Judy because she is a great program producer, announcer and great friend of Amie’s and J is for Jimmy. Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy! She refers to him often!

K - is for kids. She loves to see them show. Keepsakes for all the photos she has taken and collected over the year. Kilowatt because she has burned a few by the light of a lamp. And kingpin because she is the principal person in the club!

L - is for Leader. She is the best! Lecture because she gives them at our monthly meetings. Lead-line because it’s a special class she shares with her daughter. And loony because she has to be to put up with us!

M - is for Morgans. Her true passion. Mystique because she is one of her favorites. Misty Blue Acres the name of her homestead. Makayla and Morgan because they are her children. And motivated because I think these things keep her spirits high!

N - is for natural because horses seem to be her thing. Necessary because she will do whatever it takes. Night owl because her best work comes after 9 pm and North Country Riding Club, of course, a dream that began a short time ago and has grown into giving Year End Awards and picking on the President!!

O - for optimistic. She knows no other way. Obvious because her leadership obviously gets thing done. Options because she weighs them very carefully. And Optical because I am sure her vision for NCRC is more then she could have hoped for.

P - is for persistence. Without it, NCRC may not have developed. Picky and perfectionist, just two more reasons why we love Amie. And President because it’s the entire reason for this pathetic poem!

Q- is for quote. Hers would be “I’d rather be riding”. Questions because she asks them, listens to them and always seems to answer them. And quarter because the club started out with less then that and now here we are!

R - is for relax. Take some time for that. Remember because think back to all the fun times the club has had. Reason because the reason for it all is to promote horses in the community and offer something different for the animal -loving- folks. And reliable because we rely on Amie to keep us going.

S - is for super. A job well done. Silly because Amie will enter a class, at a show, without a horse! Saddle because her favorite is western. And spill because she took one, once, in an English saddle, then decided western was better!

T - is for telephone. It’s usually attached to her back pocket making her available at any time. Trophies because she takes the time to make them special. Thank you because she can never be thanked enough for all she’s done.

U - is for united. That’s where she stands. Understanding because she always seems to be. And unified because she brings us together as one.

V - is for vote. She always makes things fair. Versatile because she is. And very because this alphabetical autobiography is getting very hard to write with these last few letters of the alphabet.

W - is for wish! We wish her all the best! Wise because she always find a way to get what the club needs. And wonderful because we need more members like her.

X- is for extra. She goes out of your way. Xmas because she brought about Mr. and Mrs. Clause coming to town by horse and wagon one beautiful cold December day. And for X marks the spot where you will find the clubs most treasured person.

Y - is for yeah!!!! This speech is almost over. You because we wrote this especially for you, Amie. And yodel because you are lucky I can’t or I may have done this from the highest mountain top!

And finally…

Z - is for zest. Thank goodness she’s got that. Zero because she has zero tolerance for letting things fail or go unfinished. Zorro because she is a hero in disguise and zip- pity for zip-pity do- da- dee ! We love you so much, Our president , Amie!
